Our Story

The Davis family journey began with the chance meeting of two young people on a boat while spending their mutual summer in Grapevine, Texas.  That chance meeting entangled their ambitions and laid the foundation for the outcomes of living the American Dream.  Dan and Jennifer Davis, shared dreams, and a commitment to doing life and business together. In suburban Chicago, they co-founded Davisware, LLC, a tech venture born from a family HVAC business and a passion for partnering with their customers to create business success.  As these small trade businesses grew and thrived, so too did Davisware. 

 

This entrepreneurial venture was both a career and a hobby. Dan and Jennifer worked side-by-side, pouring their energy into building something meaningful. As their family grew, to parenting their ten children, so did the demands on their time, attention, and energy. They found themselves navigating the beautiful chaos of raising a family while scaling a global software company. That dual pursuit created a constant tension and a powerful realization: if they were going to succeed in both business and life, they had to create balance between personal and professional pursuits.  They made conscious deicsions to eliminate the natural tension between their work and personal pursuits by seeing life through the lens that it was only one life.  They learned that joy does not need to be the currency to buy success.   

 

Davisware grew into an industry pioneering and leading tech company with nearly 250 team members across 16 states and three countries. It revolutionized the field services industry, empowering over 2,500 businesses  scale through intuitive, innovative software. The technology that Dan and his engineering team created allowed businesses to scale at previously unachievable rates.  By adding technology to the “toolbelt” of the trades, the Davis’ watched their clients grow from entrepreneurial businesses to mid-market and large scale businesses.  With more than 50% business growth during their partnership, these businesses reflected the company’s mission to cultivate Exponential growth. 

 

Davisware was never just about tech. It was built on three core assets: a purpose-driven team, loyal customers, and a strong culture rooted in empathy and innovation. The leadership team was less about a title or resume but instead focused on a commitment to the three core assets of the business.  The mission to innovate and lead the industries they served became self-evident in the industry dominating outcomes, unparalleled eNPS scores and nearly flawless customer retention rates.  The leadership team at Davisware stood as watchdogs on the brand, the customers and their teams by approaching their work with family-centered, holistic values.  The outcomes meant that the Davisware family was better, and so were the families of those who served it’s mission. 

 

After 31 years of entrepreneurial grit and growth, the Davises transitioned Davisware into its next chapter with private equity partner, Serent Capital, in 2019, continuing to scale its impact. After decades of 80+ hour work weeks, Dan moved to a board position, while Jennifer remained a part of the leadership team until her exit from operations in 2023.  She then assumed the role as Executive Chairperson until her exit in April 2025.

Their post-Davisware pursuits have included mentoring other entrepreneurial technology start-up businesses by serving as advisors and board members, as well as supporting their family businesses.

Dan and Jennifer have always embraced life with intensity and joy—raising kids, building houses, adopting pets, hobby farming, endless construction projects, volunteering in their community, and learning (often the hard way) what it means to truly Live Exponentially. Their story is one of long nights, bold risks, hard lessons, and a decision to live joyfully. 

 

Their passion around hard work, traditional family values, entrepreneurship, education, fiscal independence and a love of children, community and country has fueled them as community servants, mentors and faithful servants in their family, church, community and the organizations they have been a part of.  Their heart for families and their lived experience continue to shape the Davis family’s values and ventures. 

 

Today, the Davis legacy lives on through their growing ecosystem of ventures, including 9 Pack Software, BExponential, The Enclave on Powers, 514 Market Loop, Simple Lux Properties and Foundation 11—a soon to be launched organization dedicated to uplifting causes that protect life, champion faith, empower families, and ignite entrepreneurial dreams. 

 

Their mission remains the same: to serve, grow, give, and lead with purpose, passion, and an unwavering belief that success should multiply good in the world.
